Count your blessings

Learn to count your blessings and not your burdens. One of the biggest problems of the western world is an ungrateful spirit, there are many little blessings that make life worthwhile. Need something to be grateful for  today? Life itself is a blessing  if you are reading this, then you woke up this morning, your breathing and you're alive. Its a blessing that musn't be taken for granted. develop a gratitude attitude come to think of it. How often do we say thank you for the simplest of gestures, done to us by friends, family or even strangers, It  takes nothing from us to say "Thank you" happiness is born from gratitude an  gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire ... if you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something ... for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times ... during those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations ... they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge... which will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes ... they will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary ... because it means you've given your all.

It's easy to be thankful for the 'good' things ... yet, a life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive ... find a way to be thankful for your troubles and they can become your blessings.

Do not indulge in dreams of having what you have not, but reckon up the chief of the blessings you do possess, and then thankfully remember how you would crave for them if they were not yours.
